Funding 3: Writing Strong Grant Applications
Course Description
This practical session focuses on the writing skills needed to turn a well-designed project into a strong funding application. Participants will look at how to answer application questions, communicate need and impact, write concisely, justify budgets and tailor responses to different funders. The emphasis is on clarity, structure and persuasion.

• Understanding what application questions are really asking
• Writing a clear and specific need statement
• Weak versus strong application examples
• Activity: drafting and refining your need statement
• Explaining your project simply: what, who and how
• Writing outcomes and demonstrating impact

These training sessions are ideal for anyone involved in securing, managing, or supporting funding within community groups, charities, and voluntary organisations.
