Volunteer Management Essentials
Course Description
This practical workshop explores how to handle challenging situations with volunteers in a fair, confident and constructive way. We’ll look at how clear expectations, good communication and regular feedback can help prevent issues from escalating, while also exploring what to do when difficult conversations are needed.
The session will cover common performance, behaviour and boundary issues, including how to respond to difficult or inappropriate behaviour, manage reputational risk and use a fair problem-solving process.
You’ll leave with practical tools to help you prepare for important conversations, support volunteers appropriately and strengthen your approach to managing challenges.
