Could you be a young trustee?
Young people can bring fresh ideas, new perspectives and a better understanding of the communities charities serve. Having younger voices on charity boards can help organisations make better decisions, think ahead and stay connected to the people they support.
For young people themselves, becoming a trustee can help develop leadership, communication and decision-making skills, grow professional networks, learn about how charities are run, and make a real impact in their community.
Join the Young Trustees’ Community Cafe
If you’re interested in becoming a trustee, or you’re already a trustee under 30, the Young Trustees’ Community Cafe is a great place to start. This free online event brings together young people interested in governance to connect, learn from each other and share experiences.
Each session includes information about trustee vacancies, a Q&A with a young trustee, and opportunities to network, exchange ideas and get advice from others on a similar journey.
