“I’m a Trustee Because…”
Trustees’ Week takes place in November, and we want to celebrate the people who give their time, experience and enthusiasm to help community organisations across Dorset thrive.
Behind every charity and many community organisations is a group of trustees helping to guide its direction, champion its purpose and make important decisions about its future. Their contribution isn’t always visible, but the time, knowledge and commitment they bring can make an enormous difference.
This Trustees’ Week, we want to put trustees in the spotlight – and we need your help.
We’d love trustees from community groups and organisations across Dorset to complete one simple sentence:
“I’m a trustee because…”
Ask your trustees to tell us in just a couple of sentences why they became a trustee, what they enjoy about the role, what they’ve gained from the experience, or the difference they feel they can make.
We’d also love organisations to send us a photo of their trustee, with their permission for us to share their words and image on our social media and in our communications during Trustees’ Week.
By sharing real experiences from local trustees, we hope to show just how varied and rewarding trusteeship can be – and encourage more people to think, “Perhaps I could do that too.”
Help us celebrate Dorset’s trustees and inspire the next generation of people to get involved.
