Over the years, Alec has provided invaluable financial expertise, sound judgement and unwavering support, helping to guide the organisation through many changes and ensuring we remained on a strong financial footing. His knowledge, commitment and thoughtful approach have been a tremendous asset to Volunteer Centre Dorset and the wider community.

Alec’s expertise and reassuring presence will be greatly missed by everyone at Volunteer Centre Dorset, particularly Finance Manager Jackie, who has worked closely with him over the years and greatly valued his support, advice and friendship.

While Alec may be retiring from his trustee role, his dedication to serving the community remains as strong as ever. We are delighted that he will continue to be involved with other charities and community organisations, and we know many local people will continue to benefit from his experience and passion.

Phil Cooper, Chair of Volunteer Centre Dorset, said:

“On behalf of everyone at Volunteer Centre Dorset, I would like to thank Alec for his outstanding service of over more than 25 years. His commitment, professionalism and financial expertise have played an important role in shaping the organisation and supporting our work across Dorset. We wish him every happiness in this next chapter and thank him sincerely for all he has done.”
