Course Description
Cyber threats can affect organisations of all sizes – including small community groups and charities. You don’t need to be a large organisation to be targeted, and simple steps can make a real difference.
Join the Dorset Police Cyber Team for a practical Lunch & Learn session designed specifically for community groups and organisations. The session will explore common cyber risks, how to recognise potential scams and attacks, and practical steps you can take to protect your organisation, volunteers, staff and the people you support.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns about the types of cyber issues your organisation may encounter.
No specialist IT knowledge is required – just bring your questions!

Who Should Attend?
This session is for anyone involved in running or supporting a community organisation, including trustees, staff, volunteers and those with responsibility for IT, data, finance or administration.
It’s particularly useful for smaller organisations that may not have dedicated IT or cyber security support.
You don’t need to be an IT expert – this session is about practical steps that any community organisation can take to reduce its cyber risk.
